The Canadian Fast Draw Championships are once again taking place at the Aldergrove Fairdays celebrations on July 25 and 26th, 2009.
Re-visit the 'olde time' country atmosphere along with the 'Wild West' flavour of Fast Draw as the Langley Rod & Gun Club's Thunderbirds play host to this World Class contest.
Watch Aldergrove's own World Women's Fast Draw Champion, Nicole Franks in defense of her Canadian Title.
Top Competitors from B.C., Alberta, and many U.S. States will again be vying for over $5000 in cash and prizes.
As well, on July 25th, there is a Celebrity Fast Draw event, which was won last year by MLA Rich Coleman, in a close 'shootout' with MP Mark Warawa as MLA Mary Polak took top honours in the Ladies Division.
The Aldergrove Fair boasts the largest Midway in the Lower Mainland, with plenty of rides and 'family festivities'. Also, the Fair is doing an Anniversary tribute to the Royal Engineers whose members will be bringing along many Armed Forces vehicles such as tanks for display.
Volunteers are welcome and needed. One can earn a commemorative T-shirt, free food and free entry into the Fair for helping out for 5 hours during the event. Anyone wishing to volunteer their help at the fair, take part in the Fast Draw Championships and other events or would like to simply donate to these worthy causes please phone D.
