Covid-19 Precautions - Indoor Range Closure - Starting Sat. March 14 2020
Hello fellow LRGC members,
We regret to advise you that the LRGC Board has decided to close the indoor range for all normally scheduled sessions as a precaution to the spread of the Covid-19 virus. While the risk is currently minimal we feel that due to the limited space it is not possible to maintain 6' distances as recommended by health officials within the indoor range. It is both our responsibility and desire to protect our members, staff and range officers.
This closure will affect all NORMAL INDOOR ACTIVITIES (Archery included - special activity functions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). This closure does not currently affect the outdoor ranges where recommended distances can be realistically maintained. We will be taking precautions throughout the clubhouse - however it is ultimately your responsibility for your own safety - please take suitable precautions and be responsible.
Our hope is that things will settle down quickly. The Board will continue to do a weekly risk assessment so we can open the range again to normal activities as soon as it’s reasonable to do so, or notify you of a potential closure extension. Please be sure to read your emails, check the club calendar and/or website home page for updates BEFORE you head to the range to shoot indoors!
Keep in mind that while this virus may not pose a serious risk to many people, the more it spreads, the more likely it will affect someone you care deeply about.
