• Indoor Shooting Reports •

While the arrival of summer weather brings out the shotgun shooters it also provides for lots of other activities, so the attendance at indoor shooting tends to slow down a bit.  If you are thinking of bringing a guest to the club to introducehem to our sport, now is a great time.  With the kids out of school it is an especially good time to introduce a youth to the sport.

The future of shooting sports is in danger of disappearing as fewer young people are presented with the opportunity to take part.  Our Club’s volunteers put in many hours hosting shoots for the high-schools in the area as part of our community involvement, but it’s also up to each of us as individuals to do our part.

Most people don’t realize the amount of work that it takes to organize and supervise all the activities at the club.  I would like to thank those volunteers for all their time and efforts.  Without them we would not have a club.

If you would like to become more involved there are often sign-up sheets for people needed to help with various club events.  If you are concerned that you lack the expertise to help, don’t worry, as there are many duties that new shooters can accomplish.  You will find the organizers very helpful and appreciative of your involvement.  It’s a great way to learn more about the sport and to get to know your fellow shooters.
