The Thunderbird Fastdraw Club has been very busy with promoting the sport of fastdraw in parades at Fort Langley, Aldergrove and Langley. They also performed in demonstrations for the Boy Scouts, Sorrento and Manning Park. Thanks to all who participated in these events and a special thanks to Dennis Robinson who’s efforts and time never stop.
On July 10th and 11th Dennis and Karen Robinson, Bob Edmiston, Peggy, Nicole and I went to the World Championships in Big Timber Montana, we are very proud of Nicole winning this world championship for the past 4 years. Nicole and Howard Darby from Calgary were also presented with their All Around World buckles, Nicole has held the All Around World Championship for 5 years.
A reminder the Fort Langley Fastdraw Championship will be held on July 31st and August 1st. There is plenty to see that long weekend in Fort Langley, the fur brigades, canoe racing, music festival, arts and much more. There will also be a celebrity shoot at high noon on Sunday with 3 mayors and 1 MLA.
I wish to thank the Langley Rod and Gun Club for hosting this up coming Championship.
A fundraiser has also been arranged by Roger Gleddie for the Children’s Wish Foundation. Until my next report have a great summer!
